On Monday, August 21 the United States will witness the rare event of a total solar eclipse.  As it moves across the Midwest, much of Southeast Nebraska will experience the total eclipse including Auburn for 2 minutes 8 seconds, starting at 1:04:12 p.m.  Before and after the total blackout, the effects of a partial eclipse will be seen. This event has left many with questions and uncertainties and the Auburn Chamber of Commerce would like to help provide some clarification and more details about the event. The Chamber will be hosting a Pre-Eclipse Event on Saturday, August 19th from 11 am—2pm at the Auburn City Rec Complex.  To view our event online please click HERE and let us know you’re coming. This will be a time to address Safety, Education and of course a little Science.  We are excited to have the Auburn High School Math & Science Club join us in helping to provide some fun and educational experiences for the children so they will not more of what to expect Monday, when they go to school. We are also looking forward to having Sarah Hanika, Auburn High School Science Teacher join us to speak about the Eclipse and the important things to know. We will behanding out to our first 100 attendees a limited edition eclipse t-shirts, limited edition eclipse koozies, and eclipse glasses from Friends of Auburn Memorial Library. The True Value of Chamber Membership

If you’re a local business owner, we want you. Period. The mission of the Auburn Chamber of Commerce is to strengthen the business community and strive for economic growth in the Nemaha County area. We can never forge too many partnerships to make that happen. Not only do we work directly with citizens of Auburn, we partner with businesses in Nebraska City, Peru, Brownville, Falls City, and even towns across the Kansas border. Currently the Chamber is home to over 100 members from Nemaha County and beyond. Your Chamber membership will give you access to exclusive events and promotion opportunities both in print and online. It will also give you the chance to bond with a growing network of local professionals – many of whom love to offer member-to-member discounts at their local businesses. Furthermore, as a Chamber member, you’ll be able to take advantage of the various services offered by our office in city hall – such as the regular newsletter.
